MTE's Involvement
MTE was proud to provide civil and structural engineering services for the development of the Genesis Niagara dealership.
MTE’s role as the Civil consultant included detailed site grading, servicing, and stormwater management design to obtain Site Plan Approval, as well as providing construction inspection services. Our Structural team provided structural engineering services, which began with a preliminary design. MTE attended design meetings to provide structural input and worked closely with the architectural team to coordinate the drawings. The structural design phase involved creating preliminary REVIT plans for the layout and sizing of main structural elements, allowing further design coordination. These preliminary REVIT drawings were followed by permit plans, including detailed plans, sections, and typical details for the building permit application.
Throughout the construction phase, MTE provided construction support services, including shop drawing reviews, site visits, and periodic reports. The team reviewed structural steel, open web steel joists, light gauge steel studs, steel decking, concrete mix design, and reinforcing bars for conformance to the design.
