MTE Consultants Acquires RIZZ Engineering, Strengthening Expertise in Structural Design and Precast Concrete

BWXT is expanding its Cambridge manufacturing plant to support the global nuclear power market, creating over 200 new jobs in Ontario

With an investment of C$80 million, this project will increase the current facility’s footprint by 25%, improve productivity and create more than 200 long-term jobs.

MTE is a proud partner in BWXT’s expansion project, providing prime consulting, structural, civil, geotechnical, environmental engineering, and survey services.

John MacQuarrie, President of BWXT Commercial Operations, stated, “Our expansion comes at a time when we’re supporting our customers in the successful execution of some of the largest clean nuclear energy projects in the world. By investing significantly in our Cambridge manufacturing facility, BWXT is further positioning our business to serve our customers to produce more safe, clean and reliable electricity in Canada and abroad.”

The BWXT Cambridge Expansion Project is targeted for completion in 2026.
