Project Overview

Bunge Loders Croklaan, a prominent global producer and supplier of sustainable premium quality vegetable oils and fats for the food manufacturing industry, initiated a major expansion project.

This endeavor involved the construction of a nine-story tower adjacent to an existing two-story building, intended to serve as a pivotal facility for food processing, with a capacity of 500 tons of food production, and featuring a towering 31-meter deodorizer tower.

MTE’s Involvement

MTE played a crucial role in the Bunge Loders Croklaan nine-story tower project by providing structural engineering services. Our scope of work encompassed the design and structural engineering aspects, ensuring the secure and efficient construction of the tower.

MTE’s contributions included the design of a cantilevered stair tower for efficient space utilization, the implementation of complex sliding connections to prevent lateral forces on the existing roof and maintain uninterrupted truck routes, and the integration of a new cooling tower with precise measurements and a steel platform design to minimize structural reinforcement, thereby reducing costs and the project timeline.
