Microsoft Dynamics Developer

We are currently seeking a Microsoft Dynamic Developer to work out of our Kitchener or Toronto office. You have experience working as a Developer or Business Analyst focusing on apps, automates, and workflows in Microsoft Dynamics (focused on Project Operations and F&O). Your recent roles allow you to demonstrate your strong technical skills, a deep understanding of the Dynamics/Power Platform including capabilities and limitations; and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You are adept at working independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.


Business Analyst: Gather and analyze current business practices so you have a clear understanding of the business requirements for each project. This may include working closely with stakeholders and other team members to gather and analyze the necessary information.

Innovate: Configure and customize using Dynamics/Power Platform, and power automate including creating and/or updating custom entities, workflows, business rules, reports, and dashboards. Use your knowledge of and experience with workflow design principles to create complex workflows that can handle a variety of business scenarios. Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery and optimize user experience

Quality Assurance: Test and debug applications and workflows to ensure that they are working as expected. Apply your understanding and experience testing methodologies and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This includes working with end-users to define test scenarios and conducting user acceptance testing to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.

Document: Prepare consistent and clear documentation of your work, including application and workflow designs, testing plans, and user manuals. You need to ensure that your documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to other team members and stakeholders.

Create: Design and configure Dynamics 365 (Project Operations and Finance and Operations) and PowerApps solutions: Based on the business design, configure Dynamics 365 and PowerApps solutions, including entities, workflows, reports, and dashboards.

Train and support: Provide training on how to use new features and offer ongoing support to ensure smooth operation.

Administer: Test and apply updates as necessary to Dynamics. Resolve system issues and perform some administrative duties such as security role creation and application.

    • Degree in computer science or business-related discipline;
    • 5+ years of experience in similar role and in particular proven success working in a Microsoft based environment using Dynamics Project Operations and/or Dynamics Finance and Operations;
    • Experience working with: Microsoft 365, Power Platform, CDS/CDM, PowerShell, Visio, Dynamics 365, Power Platform services, JSON, .NET, Microsoft Azure, RESTful Web Services, ASP.NET, SharePoint, TSQL and PowerBI;
    • Technical knowledge of and experience working with SQL queries, PowerShell; and SharePoint online;
    • Would be nice to have PMP and/or PMI certification (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience working on business operation systems, deployment and training;
