We are currently seeking a Internal Recruiter to work out of our Kitchener office.

About the role

The Internal Recruiter position reports directly to the Director, Human Resources. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has the initiative and professional expertise in conducting the day-to-day operations of recruitment and employee selection.

Responsibility
    • Full lifecycle recruitment including:
      • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs through applicable methods.
      • Review internal and external candidate resumes and recommend viable candidates to the hiring manager for further consideration.
      • Conduct passive searches through various online resume databases.
      • Build effective networks (internally and externally) to maintain a strong channel of top talent for hard-to-fill roles in the engineering industry.
      • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates.
      • Partner with, and coach, hiring managers to accurately evaluate candidates based on skill, knowledge and cultural fit.
      • Conduct thorough reference checks as needed.
    • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders to build and support recruitment strategies;
    • Act as a point of contract and build trusting candidate relationships during the selection process;
    • Evaluate onboarding program effectiveness;
    • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports as required;
    • Partner with the HR department on departmental objectives and assignments as needed; and
    • Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources or equivalent;
    • Designation/ or working towards the CHRP;
    •  5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience leading full life-cycle recruitment, ideally in a corporate setting;
    • Ability to demonstrate effective influencing capabilities with hiring managers and ability to actively participate in the assessment process;
    • Knowledgeable in the latest recruitment trends and best practices;
    • Strong decision making skills;
    • Ability to thrive and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships with others;
    • A strong work ethic and perseverance, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude;
    • Ability to deal with confidential and/or time sensitive information; and
    • Access to a vehicle is required for travel to all MTE office locations.
